Home Inspection

A non-invasive visual inspection with the purpose of informing the home buyer of the conditions of the home prior to closing.  A typical Home Inspection lasts for 2 hours.  A detailed report is provided, listing what was inspected and any concerns or defects observed.

$375-$475 (Typical Single Family)

Taking samples (typically air samples) to determine the concentration and/or types of mold presence.  Sampling may be used to verify treatment is successful.

A test for the levels of Radon found in the lowest livable area of the home.  Radon is a radioactive gas that occurs from the natural decay of uranium in the soil.  According to the EPA, Radon is known to cause cancer, and it recommends fixing the home if the Radon level is 4 picocuries per liter or more.  A Radon test includes placement of charcoal canisters in the home, collecting them between 2 and 5 days later, and coordinating the testing with the test la

A test of the household water for contaminants as required by most FHA and HUD backed mortgages, which require additional testing to the FHA (Short) Test requirements.  The test includes bacteria (coliform), lead, nitrates, and nitrites, iron, manganese, iron plus manganese, sodium, PH, hardness, alkalinity, and turbidity.

Water Quality Test (FHA/HUD) (Long)

A test of the household water for contaminants as required by most FHA and HUD backed mortgages, which require additional testing to the FHA (Short) Test requirements.  The test includes bacteria (coliform), lead, nitrates, and nitrites, iron, manganese, iron plus manganese, sodium, PH, hardness, alkalinity, and turbidity.

A non-invasive visual inspection of a multi-family home with the purpose of informing the buyer or seller about the conditions of the property.  A typical Multi-Family Home Inspection lasts for 2-3 hours.  A detailed report is provided, listing what was inspected and any concerns or defects observed.

$425-$525 (Typical Two-Family)

A test of the household water, taken either close to the source or at the point of use to determine the presence of harmful bacteria (coliform).  A water quality test is recommended for all homes with a private well and is usually required to obtain a mortgage.
